Accreditations and Certifications of the Institute
The Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure was among the first to appoint the Highway Institute as a body for assessing and verifying the consistency of performance of construction products in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation on Technical Requirements for Fractionated Aggregate for Concrete and Asphalt.
By the decision of the Federal Institute for Standardization No. 04/1-152/22-88 dated 09.03.1988, the Highway Institute was authorized for the attestation of fractionated stone aggregate for concrete and asphalt according to the Order on Mandatory Attestation of Fractionated Stone Aggregate for Concrete and Asphalt (Official Gazette of the SFRY, No. 41/87).
With provisional decision No. Pr 2-11/98 dated 28.09.1998, the Yugoslav Accreditation Body JUAT extended the authorization of the Federal Institute for Standardization (SZS) to allow the Highway Institute to continue with product certification tasks (Attestation of fractionated stone aggregate for concrete and asphalt according to the Order) until authorized organizations comply with the requirements of the Standardization Law (30/96), i.e., until they are accredited by JUAT as Certification Bodies for product certification.
By decision of the General Director No. 00-1976 dated 23.05.2003, a body was established to perform product certification tasks, after which the Yugoslav Accreditation Body JUAT conducted the accreditation process and accredited the Highway Institute, as a product certification body.
On 26.07.2022, the Accreditation Body of Serbia – ATS issued Decision No. 480/2022 accrediting the Highway Institute, Belgrade, as a conformity assessment body for product certification according to the regulations for fractionated stone aggregate for concrete and asphalt in accordance with Articles 21 to 31 of the Regulation on Technical Requirements for Fractionated Aggregate for Concrete and Asphalt ("Official Gazette of RS", No. 78/20).
By decision of the Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure No. 119-01-00781/2022-08 dated 2.8.2022, the Highway Institute, a.d., Belgrade, was appointed as a body for assessing and verifying the consistency of performance of construction products in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation on Technical Requirements for Fractionated Aggregate for Concrete and Asphalt ("Official Gazette of RS", No. 78/20), specifically as:
– a product certification body (in accordance with Articles 21 to 31 of the Regulation),
– a certification body for factory production control (in accordance with Articles 32 and 33 of the Regulation).

Information on fees is available upon request, which can be submitted to the Certification Body in writing.
Interested parties can also request information on the validity of a given certification.
